PT// “A LIBERDADE E O PODER”
O CINE LUSO é um encontro criativo e filosófico que visa abordar as questões contemporâneas. Com mais de 100 filmes projectados nos primeiros três anos, o projecto encontra-se na quarta edição para a qual pretende transmitir as realidades próprias das culturas dos vários países de língua portuguesa (países de língua oficial portuguesa), por utilizando a linguagem audiovisual como ferramenta de análise. A partir de 2019, países não lusófonos foram convidados a aderir ao programa com o objetivo de alargar a leitura do mundo através das diferentes realidades e suas implicações. Mais do que um evento, o projeto se apresenta como uma busca pelo diálogo e pela construção de conteúdos de forma colaborativa. O tema escolhido para a quarta edição evidência as contradições do mundo por meio de duas noções principais: LIBERDADE E PODER.
O crescimento do extremismo social e político, a limitação dos direitos humanos e o abuso de poder repercutem em várias partes do mundo como uma onda sintomática e sinérgica.
Diante deste cenário, abordagens específicas foram escolhidas a fim de promover a reflexão sobre os conceitos de liberdade e poder que ora coexistem, ora se contrapõem. Ao mesmo tempo, questionamos o entrelaçamento de modos de vida em sociedade em contextos públicos e privados, coletivos ou individuais, abrindo espaço para a reflexão intersetorial.
Muitas questões ressoam nas esferas política, científica e filosófica da era contemporânea, cujos reflexos ainda são imprevisíveis. A óbvia complexidade da tensão entre as liberdades individuais, o controle social e a cidadania ativa, bem como as fragilidades do sistema, explicam a relevância da organização de debates reflexivos. É esta a ambiciosa missão que queremos levar com a quarta edição do Cine Luso, sempre empenhada em refletir sobre o mundo através dos olhos e das histórias transportadas pelo setor audiovisual e transversalmente com outras áreas da arte e pensamento.
RESIDÊNCIA ARTÍSTICA
À semelhança dos anos anteriores, será realizado um filme numa residência artística específica, desta vez em transversalidade com as artes performáticas, e os debates contarão com a participação de realizadores e especialistas convidados sobre os sub-temas abordados.
Em 2021, teremos a presença de Julian Boal com um * atelier do Teatro do Oprimido e na coordenação criativa do ** projeto de residência que também participará do lançamento do filme ao longo da programação.

EN// CINE LUSO is a creative and philosophical encounter that aims to address contemporary issues. With more than 100 films screened in the first three years, the project is now in its fourth edition for which it aims to convey the realities of the cultures of the various Portuguese-speaking countries (Portuguese-speaking countries), by using audiovisual language as a tool for analysis. As of 2019, non-Lusophone countries have been invited to join the program with the goal of broadening the reading of the world through the different realities and their implications. More than an event, the project presents itself as a search for dialogue and the construction of content in a collaborative way. The theme chosen for the fourth edition highlights the contradictions of the world through two main notions: FREEDOM AND POWER.
The growth of social and political extremism, the limitation of human rights, and the abuse of power resonate in various parts of the world as a symptomatic and synergistic wave.
Against this backdrop, specific approaches have been chosen in order to promote reflection on the concepts of freedom and power that sometimes coexist and sometimes oppose each other. At the same time, we question the intertwining of ways of living in society in public and private, collective or individual contexts, opening space for intersectoral reflection.
Many questions resonate in the political, scientific, and philosophical spheres of the contemporary era, the consequences of which are still unpredictable. The obvious complexity of the tension between individual liberties, social control, and active citizenship, as well as the fragilities of the system, explain the relevance of organizing reflective debates. This is the ambitious mission we want to carry with the fourth edition of Cine Luso, always committed to reflecting on the world through the eyes and stories carried by the audiovisual sector and transversally with other areas of art and thought.
**CREATIVE RESIDENCY: As in previous years, a film will be made in a specific artistic residence, this time in transversality with the performing arts, and the debates will count with the participation of filmmakers and invited specialists on the sub-themes addressed. The film made will be presented at the festival.
